Irish Setter Portrait
I have just completed this portrait of a young Irish Setter, living in Durham. My client sent me photos from which to work, but unfortunately the best head shot depicting her character had been cut off through her ear and neck. Consequently, I had to make up these details from other shots.
The pencil remarques depict her wet, having been in the lake; the other cantering over shingle. The latter I had to flip to balance the overall study and remove collars and harnesses.
I double-mounted it in off white, and framed it in a simple oak moulding.
